The Masbu Ink Tattoo together with the Pampanga Tattoo Artist Club held a tattoo feast titled " Makuleng Santiago " at the Sta. Ana covered court last Saturday.
The event aims to create understanding and awareness to society the importance and the meaning of having a tattoo and to display body arts and the talents of the different tattoo artists.
Julius Maliwat, chief organizer and Masbu Ink Tattoo head, said the event showcases the artists dedication in tattoo making and he also wants the people to understand why having tattoos are not as bad as they think.
" Ginawanatinito para mapasayadditosalugarnamin at para narinmaipamulat sa mgataolalona sa mganagdidiscriminate ng taong my tattoo napag daw my tattoo ay galing sa jail at mga drug adik daw and maipakita sa kanilaangtalento ng mga artist sa body art, " said Maliwat.
He added that they also held a tattoo contest in which they will choose the artists with the most wonderful and eye-catching tattoo design.
Maliwat also stated that this is the first time that they organized and event that highlights tattoo artists and their creative skills in showing different types of designs.
Tattoo artists from different parts of Pampanga and Metro Manila attended the event. The organizers said they are not expecting a huge number of participants because this is their first time to organize a tattoo event.
The winner in the event received cash prizes while the runner ups received a certificate for joining.
Maliwat even inspired tattoo artists, saying, " love what they do and hayaan lang nila ang mga anti tattoo, just continue what they do in a proper way basta wala silang tinatapakan walang masama sa ginagawanila. "
The Masbu Ink Tattoo and the Pampanga Tattoo Artists Club said they are looking forward to another event as this was a successful one.
